The Queensway/Churchill Drive sewer system provides service to the Queensway and Churchill Drive areas. Customers are connected to a septic tank effluent pumping (STEP) system. Properties on this system use functioning septic tanks; septage is pumped from their septic tanks into the sewer collection system.

The Thornhill-system was constructed "oversized" to include extension of sewer into the Commercial Core area of Thornhill.  In addition, a large pipe was installed to receive sewage from the remainder of Thornhill in the future.

Effluent is treated through aeration lagoons and rapid infiltration basins located near the southern end of Queensway Drive.

In 2018 Regional District put in erosion protection for the Queensway Lagoon in the event of flooding on the Skeena River.

Jackpine Flats Liquid Waste Management Plan and Lakelse Lake Community Sewer Plan have an environmental assessment underway.
