For community members in and around the District of Stewart: Barnachez bridge is being replaced beginning April 1 and completion is planned for April 22. This means that the Stewart Transfer Station will be closed for the duration of the project, April 1 to April 22.
However, the public garbage bins around Stewart are still available for residents to use. If you have any big home renovation projects planned in April, consider waiting until the transfer station is open so you'll have somewhere to dispose of construction waste, or travelling to the Meziadin Landfill to dispose of larger loads is also an option.
