The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (RDKS) held its inaugural meeting on November 17, 2023. Electoral Area B Director Cyra Yunkws was elected as Chair and Electoral Area A Director Eric Nyce was elected as Vice-Chair.
“I am keen to continue working with our Board and staff," said Chair Yunkws. "I am grateful for this opportunity to represent the residents of this regional district and I am excited to move forward on our strategic plan."
The RDKS Board extends thanks to the outgoing Chair, Kitimat Mayor Phil Germuth, and to the outgoing Vice-Chair, Electoral Area C Director Bruce Bidgood. Both will continue to serve as Directors.
